Shiseido Unveils MAQuillAGE’s Limited Starlight Collection of Makeup in Luminous, Bold Colors
Shiseido has unveiled a new limited-edition makeup collection under the MAQuillAGE brand called the Starlight Collection, introducing bolder, more luminous colors for the fall/winter 2026 season.
According to the company’s official statement, the collection is scheduled to launch on October 21, 2026, and comprises six products, including lipsticks and eye shadows, with an emphasis on high-impact colors and multidimensional reflective pearls.
Colors Inspired by Starlight
Shiseido says the collection is based on the concept of “awakening the inner glow,” bringing together deep colors and luminous finishes in multiple shades. It includes two versions of Lip Glow Bomb in deep pink and reddish-brown shades, as well as customizable eye shadow palettes and individual shades.
The brand uses various types of light-reflecting pearls to give the makeup a balanced appearance in both indoor and outdoor lighting. The company also notes that some of the collection’s products were designed to enhance dimension and radiance without making the colors appear disconnected from the skin tone.
Limited Makeup and Seasonal Releases
The collection comes amid a growing trend among beauty brands toward limited-quantity seasonal releases that combine striking design with a visual experience, rather than focusing solely on traditional colors. In the case of the Starlight Collection, the packaging itself features decorations inspired by stars and galaxies.
Shiseido explains that, through the collection, MAQuillAGE seeks to support the idea of individual expression through makeup, drawing on the company’s techniques for distributing color and pearls across the lips and eyelids.
