Seligman Ventures fund doubles its capital to $1 billion amid surge in AI investments

Seligman Investments has doubled the size of its venture capital arm, Seligman Ventures, to $1 billion just eight months after launching it with initial capital of $500 million, in a move that reflects accelerating investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure.

$1 Billion for Venture Capital

According to Reuters on September 28, 2026, the company increased the capital allocated to the investment arm to $1 billion after it had already invested more than $300 million in 14 companies.

Chips and Data Centers Lead the Way

The strategy focuses on hardware companies and technologies supporting artificial intelligence, including semiconductors, data center infrastructure and cybersecurity, as the need for massive computing capacity continues to grow.

A Strategy Combining Early- and Late-Stage Investments

Seligman is adopting an approach that combines early-stage investments with investments in more mature companies and those preparing for an initial public offering, and plans to add between five and 10 new investments over the next year.
