Saudi Tourism Expands Its Global Presence After World Travel Market Concludes in Riyadh

English versionالعربية

Saudi Arabia strengthened its position on the global tourism map as the World Travel Market in Riyadh concluded, with broad participation from local and international travel, tourism and hospitality companies and organizations.

According to a report published by Saudi Gazette, participating organizations showcased a wide range of Saudi tourism experiences and products combining the sea, nature, heritage, culture and entertainment, as the Kingdom’s map of destinations continues to expand at a rapid pace.

Greater Diversity in Tourism Experiences

Saudi tourism offerings are no longer tied to a single season or type of travel. The current landscape includes coastal, mountainous and heritage destinations, as well as cities hosting events, museums, cultural centers and entertainment venues, alongside clear growth in the hospitality sector.

The “Saudi, Welcome to Arabia” pavilion showcased models of diverse destinations and experiences, from beaches and islands to oases and historic sites, reflecting a drive to develop more varied travel programs suited to the interests of different visitor segments.

Broader Opportunities for Companies and Investors

The exhibition brought together leaders from the travel and tourism sector, investors and specialists, creating opportunities to explore new partnerships and develop services and products that could connect the Saudi market with international markets.

The event also reflects expanding investment opportunities in hotels, services, tourism experiences and technologies related to destination management, alongside increased air connectivity and infrastructure development.

This momentum comes as part of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to increase tourism’s contribution to the economy, raise visitor numbers and transform the diversity of the Kingdom’s natural, cultural and heritage resources into sustainable and globally competitive tourism products.
